Margot Van Voorhies was a highly influential silversmith, residing in the city of Taxco, a hub of modernist Mexican jewelry. Primarily working in colourful enamels, she used traditional motifs evoking Mayan and Aztec designs, as well as Egyptian, floral and serpent designs. This is design #5685 and can be found on pages 20, 21, and 178 in Margot Van Voorhies: The Art of Mexican Enamelwork  by Penny C. Morrill.
