Bedat & Co. No.8 Stainless Steel Automatic Wristwatch
 
Bedat is a fairly recent Swiss maker of very fine watches, and it seems that the main thrust of their company is the creation of extraordinary watches specifically tailored to women. If you look at the Bedat #33 we have listed on this site you will see what I mean.
 
That said, they do produce the odd watch for men. The Bedat #1 is a shining example of this and it's a rare watch that I have in my “I should have bought it at that auction, damn!” category.
 
I do learn from my mistakes. I did not let this Bedat #8 get away. It is another rare watch suitable to be worn by either sex. 
 
It is quite simple but has a great amount of appeal. Whilst wearing it, I received several compliments from people used to seeing me wear a lot of valuable watches, people who rarely make comments -- so you know that this one, simple or not, has presence.
