Baume & Mercier 14K Gold and Diamond Hinged Cover Stem Wind Wristwatch
Two years ago, I had no idea who Baume and Mercier was. In times since I have bought at least five or six of them, and not once have I wished I had not made the acquisition.
In my opinion, they are hugely underrated and are every bit as significant as Piaget or any other Swiss watch maker and some of their designs are excruciatingly extraordinary. This is one of those.
The watch is hidden under a diamond-adorned gold clamshell, and the entire watch band shell is rendered in 14K gold with an extraordinary Florentine finish.
A lovely piece of jewelry and well-priced considering its appeal.
