I am not usually a fan of jeweler inspired watch lines. There are a few Cartier I like and I have run across the odd watch with jewelers logo on them are not bad, but on the whole I prefer brands like Rolex, Patek, Breuget and Audemars in the more stratospheric realms of watch design.
Of course, there is always the exception that proves a rule and in this case that exception is Harry Winston and the watches that they have created.
I have tried to acquire Harry Winston watches on several occasions and have been thwarted in almost each case by prices that become quite eye watering.
I was especially saddened by missing a spectacular Harry Winston men’s watch a few months ago. I was purchasing it for myself and ended up the under bidder. That is always annoying. (But sometimes for the best).
At that time, I made myself a little vow that next one I saw offered wouldn’t get away. It did not.
Mind you, it is exceedingly unlikely that you will ever see me wearing it but for any women of discriminating taste this watch is sublime.
I will not attempt to describe it here. Even photos do not do it justice. Words then are entirely inadequate.
As a post script, it comes with original box and Harry Winston paperwork, an International Warranty booklet and an owner’s manual. The box is quite attractive but does have some wear and tear.
Cheers,
David Charles Grainger
